Let me give you an example.

As well as another permit from Wayne County for the sidewalk and the approach. If you have an HOA we have to submit the project to them before we can even start the process of getting the permits.
Most cities will take 7-14 working days to review the plans we submit before they issue the permit. Both authorities will need something called an “open form” inspection. This is them looking at the project right before we pour. In Canton we are looking at 2 weeks before they can get out there to do the inspection. Wayne usually does the inspection the next day. We will pour the concrete.svg and then call for a "final inspection". Possibly having to wait for another 2 weeks for them to come out. We do our very best to make the permit process easier by doing some proper planning before we even get started on a project. So a simple driveway could actually take up to 3 weeks to complete.
